Monday. The day went on pretty much the same as a normal Monday would. So when I left the office, I was pondering on everything that transpired. I was alone waiting for the bus. One came, speeding like an MMDA was after it. It didn't stop. Then, it started to drizzle. There were two bus stops to run to. I chose the one to my left. That's when another bus came, speeding like the other one. It stopped on the bus to my right. I ran after it but I was not fast enough.
Then, there was the heavy downpour. I stayed there for an hour. Buses come and go - not my bus. Once in a while, taxis would stop exactly in the same spot I would expect the bus to stop. The road was flooded. Mr. Taxi Driver, please do not block that area. We'll get wet if you don't move. And so it came to be. The bus came. Taxi blocks the bus. I went down the flooded road to get on the bus.
All through this hour of ordeal I was convincing myself, surely there is something good that happened this day. Then, the bus conductor lighted up a cigarette. Great! Bus was full. All windows were closed. Moisture building up. The driver opened the door and the bus conductor smoked. I was sitting in front of him. Would this day get any better?
It did. When we get to Taguig. It was not raining. Should I write about how wonderful that it was not raining when I finally got home?
I almost missed this. One thing did happen differently. We had brainstorming with Jops for her revalida. It was a healthy exercise. That is a reason to be happy. Thanks, Jops. The Double Chocolaty Chip Frappuccino is definitely a treat!
