27/365 Days of Happiness: Being a woman is awesome.
Women enjoy a wide variety of hair styles. We could have
long hair and not be concerned with snide remarks such as "get a haircut."
We get to swish our hair like a shampoo commercial model.
Women could remove facial hair with waxing instead of daily
facial shaving.
Women enjoy a wide variety of wardrobe choices. They can
wear colored nail polish to match their moods or their clothing. We could
wear as many earrings as we want and never get questioned.
Women (and children) are always put first. Be it in mass
transit system (we have our own car in MRT and LRT), or in a life and death
situation (we get rescued first).
Women get chivalrous treatment. Doors are held open for us
and chairs are pulled out for us(Some men are still gentlemen).
We are emotional creatures. We can use our emotion to get
anything and get away with it. We get to be emotional whenever we want or need
to. Women get to cry when sad, laugh when something is funny or vent when
stressed.
Women get to be needed and wanted. As mothers, they can
soothe bumps, bruises, aches and most ailments. As girlfriends, they can soothe
heartaches. Women are great listeners and don't always feel they need to fix things.
Have you ever felt sorry for being a woman during your
period? Getting a period is sometimes
uncomfortable, even painful. We know there is no such thing as a "happy period."
My sister has to be in bed rest when she
gets her period. But think about it, her period allowed her to carry children
and give life to them. I find it truly amazing how God give women such
power. They could even supply
nourishment to their babies for free.
Family traditions are usually started by women. They make
awesome grandmothers. They lavishly
smother their
grandchildren with gifts and tender loving care.
